Deputy Commissioner's Message

 

 The present civilization has entered ultra modern period crossing the modern era. In such a competitive and dynamic world, development and economic growth depend on the ability to utilize information technology. Information and communication technology has made life extremely dynamic, enabled multi-dimensional human connection and brought the world closer. Excellence of information and communications technology uplifts the human efficiency and human resource management.

 

 In the present era of globalization, the country's overall development depends on the adaptability towards the use of technology. Bangladesh has set a target to become a middle-class developed country free from hunger-poverty, bad-governance and corruption by 2021. In view of this, the present democratic government has been working to implement 'Digital Bangladesh' to give a realistic look to the people's dream. All development activities of the state are implemented through field administration. District Administration is the basic level of field administration. The district administration plays the leading role in making the people's will, intentions and dreams fulfilled. Hence for the implementation of digital Bangladesh, the Digital District Administration is being considered as a 'building block', which is an inspiration to establish good governance and an information technology based Bangladesh. In continuation of this, the inauguration of this web portal is the primary initiative of establishing Chandpur district administration as a 'digital district administration'. This river erosion stricken and diversified ancient land Chandpur is entering the digital era, which is undoubtedly joyous and significant.


This is not only the 'web portal' of the district; rather it is district's overall information-store and closest means of communication. We are hopeful that this web portal will be able to fulfill the expectations of inhabitants of Chandpur district. Especially, it is expected that it will be very effective for the expatriates of the Chandpur District. We are happy to contribute to the launch of Chandpur District Administration website according to direct instructions of the Prime Minister's Office in a very short notice. I am grateful to the officials of the different departments of this district who have accelerated the advancement of this web portal by providing information. I thank my colleagues for their cordial efforts for rapid implementation of the portal despite of time and the manpower crisis. We will be ever sincere to enrich this web portal's database, to improve its quality and to update the information regularly.
